La illa’ha il Allah, hu

by Rashid Winter

La illa’ha il Allah, hu
La illa’ha il Allah
Hu… Hu…

My heart is open to the fullness of your love
In you I find my inner purpose
The light that shines upon us brightly from above
Your healing waves of love surround us

La illa’ha il Allah, hu….

I sense the sun though I won’t ever know its source
Yet feel its warmth and light upon me
You fill my mind with your illuminating thoughts
And drop me deep to heights beyond me

La illa’ha il Allah, hu…

I float within this endless ocean of your grace
This gift of life, bestowed upon me
Exquisite mystery, embodied throughout space
Conveyed in beauty that it shows me

La illa’ha il Allah, hu…

Each breath, each heartbeat, tuned to rhythms I don’t hear
Yet, to the call, I surrender
Entranced by patterns ~ I awake, yes, I am here ~
Reflecting your eternal splendor

La illa’ha il Allah, hu…

The first step towards unity is to forget everything you think you know about it. Only then you may grasp its essence.
