Everyday you rise, greeting the world with your rays
Streaming healing light, dispelling the darkness to day
I get your message clear and bright, in your unconditional ways
To share of my heart and mind, my head and my hands are raised

I know inside, it is You, not I, that shines

But the pattern’s deep and wide, I’m lost to the world that it hides
And I know that it’s a crime, only seeking the truth part-time.
Yet I feel this urge inside, a memory from outside my life
I struggle with the climb, of keeping the summit in sight
