Shine with the Stars

Sometimes your mind is full of questions
Sometimes your mind is full of doubt
You wonder why you're in this session
You don't know if you're in or out

But in the dream of our ancestors, we are the answers
To all that they dreamed in their songs and their prayers
As we heal in this circle with presence and care

We sing for those who came before us
We sing for those still yet to come
It's in the medicine of chorus
It's in the medicine of song

And the song of our ancestors here in our hearts
Is the song that enchants and illumines the dark
~ With flowers and feathers and jewels and stars

Your heart may blossom like a flower
Each blossom knows it's time to bloom
It's in the fragrance of the hour
It's in the blessing of the moon

But the pain of our ancestors deep in my heart
Is the place where the weave of the healing can start
Just breathe with the wind and shine with the stars

It was not difficult to learn to say,
I love you very much
It was not difficult to learn to sing,
I love you with all of my heart
It was not difficult to learn to suffer,
I love you very much
It was not difficult to learn to feel,
I love you with all of my heart

And like this, we sing to the corn
That grows in the little farm, my cute little dove.

And to the to barley and wheat
I pray with all my soul, take me with you.

And the Kañiwa and the Tarwi
We thank you from the depths of our soul,
and I joined you.
