I know you*would, if you could
But you just cannot*stay here
You must return to the world
To share your light with all who’ll *listen

It’s not your fault that they will fall
It has long since been written
It’s just a path that we all must walk
There’s not point and no pattern

You’ll feel their pain, and their remorse
But they will always remain whole
And in the end they’ll return
To the place that they once called home

And when you land there, you will laugh
At yourself for your delusion
But you will cry for the ones
Still caught in the illusion

But nothing’s lost on this ride
The journey’s long, and strewn with gemstones
For you to hold in your heart
To offer up to the Great One

If there’s a way to move in this world
It is with grace and endless giving
Allow the shining truth of your heart
And respect for all that’s living

So go on now, back to the world
It needs you laughter and compassion
It takes your tears to wash it clean
And to heal all that’s happened

And when that’s done, we’ll all rejoice
For we will all be the richer
It takes the light and dark of our hearts
