This Too Shall Pass

29-7-14

Everything we’ll ever know, ever be, and ever do
All the learning, all the wisdom, the truths that we cling to
Our importance, and all we believe,
our very minds, and all we can conceive
This too shall pass

All we love, and all we cherish, so dear to the heart
All we gather and possess, ‘til death do us part
All beloveds, family and friends,
our sense of self, upon which we depend
This too shall pass

All the pain, and all the terror, the fears and the regret
The story and storyteller, unravel once again
Our perfect bodies, gifted at birth,
divinely crafted, from the very Earth
This too shall pass

All the life upon the earth, deep into her molten core,
All the mountains, all the trees, every wave upon the shore
The Earth, the moon, the sky & the sun,
all the stars & everything beyond
This too shall pass

All the glories, all the wonder, the feast before our eyes,
All the storms, and all the thunder, all that lives and dies
All that’s gone, and ever will be,
merged together, for eternity
This too shall pass

As our universe collapses, all just changes form
~ She wanes and she waxes, existence reborn
Consciousness, manifests the whole,
eternal constant, mother of us all
Through this she’ll pass
